Kilkeel Credit Union is delighted to launch the 2026 Credit Union Art Competition and invite artists of all ages to take part in one of Ireland's longest-running and most inclusive art initiatives.
This Year's Theme
🎨 World of Colour
This year's theme encourages artists to explore the colours, experiences, cultures and perspectives that make our world unique. Whether inspired by nature, community, imagination or everyday life, entrants are invited to interpret the theme in their own creative way.
Now in its 43rd year, the Credit Union Art Competition continues to encourage creativity, self-expression and imagination while raising awareness of credit unions at local, regional and national level.
Competition Categories
The competition includes:
- General Category
- Additional Needs Category
Age groups:
- 7 years and under
- 8 to 10 years inclusive
- 11 to 13 years inclusive
- 14 to 17 years inclusive
- Adult (18 years and over)
(Ages calculated as at 31 December 2026.)
Important Information
✅ Artwork must be submitted in A3 or A2 size
✅ Artwork must be in landscape orientation
✅ One entry per entrant
✅ Entry forms must be fully completed and attached securely to the back of the artwork
✅ Additional Needs Category group entries are permitted
Please note: Portrait entries or artwork submitted in other sizes cannot be accepted for judging.
Closing Date
📅 Friday 16 October 2026
All artwork and completed entry forms should be delivered to Kilkeel Credit Union by this date.

Winning entries at local level will progress to the Chapter (Regional) stage, with successful entries then moving forward to the National Final.
